Bitcoin hit new record highs recently ($1600 CAD), in part based on speculation about Bitcoin ETFs. Although some people look at Bitcoin as in investment, other people use it as a payment method. What sorts of things can you buy with Bitcoin?
In recent months I've heard of people using Bitcoin for:
1. a TV show by comedian Louis CK; and,
2. video games from Steam (the largest game distribution platform in the world); and,
3. event tickets for a meetup group called Bitcoin Blockchain Canada and,
4. Newegg and other electronics stores.
I also have at least one client that pays for all of their airfare with bitcoin and many people use it to get discounts on Amazon via purse.io.
I've found it to be very useful for accepting payment for legal services from international customers.
